Privacy policy
How we process the personal data of website visitors and people who write to us.
1. Controller
The controller of personal data is [company name], registered office [registered address], company ID (IČO) [IČO], registered in [register and file number] (“we” or “Malenea”). Contact for data protection matters: info@malenea.com.
2. What data we process and why
Contact form and email. When you write to us, we process your name, email address, brand name and the content of your message. The purpose is to reply to you and prepare a quote. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep the data for 12 months from the last communication, for the duration of any cooperation and afterwards as set out in section 5.
Contractual cooperation. When you order our services, we process the billing and contact details needed to perform the contract and meet our accounting and tax obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). We keep accounting documents for 10 years under the Slovak Accounting Act.
Website analytics and marketing. With your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 109 of Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on Electronic Communications) we use analytics and marketing cookies. Details are in the cookie policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
Photos and videos from projects. If footage of people is created during a project, we process it on the basis of a separate written consent from the person concerned or their legal guardian. The scope of use is always stated in the consent.
3. Who we share data with
Data is processed by our processors who provide us with technical services: website hosting, email service, accounting and analytics tools (for example Google Analytics, Meta). Some of them may transfer data outside the EU; in that case the transfer relies on a European Commission adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. We do not sell data.
4. Your rights
- the right of access to your data and to a copy of it,
- the right to rectification of inaccurate data,
- the right to erasure if we no longer need the data or you have withdrawn consent,
- the right to restriction of processing and the right to object,
- the right to data portability,
- the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing,
- the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava, dataprotection.gov.sk, or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

5. Retention period
We keep data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected: enquiries 12 months, contractual and accounting data 10 years, data processed on the basis of consent until it is withdrawn, but no longer than 24 months for cookies.
6. Security
We protect data with encrypted transmission (HTTPS), restricted access and two-factor authentication for the tools we use. We do not transfer it on unsecured media.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page with its effective date.
